Hi! I’m Millie. 21. I grew up in Toronto and navigated the urban space with a sketchbook and a compass powered by second-hand smoke. I finished my undergraduate business degree from Western University in 2013, and am currently working with (and expanding my knowledge of) all things digital. Here’s where I share thoughts about writing, art, and random stuff while striving to become a published author and graphic novelist. Join the journey.
Favourite Things
Wordsmiths: Raymond Chandler, Hunter S. Thompson, Catherynne M. Valente, William S. Burroughs, Raymond Carver and Neil Gaiman.
Artist Types: Mark Ryden, Daniel Clowes, Koji Morimoto, Albrecht Dürer, William Klein, and nearly everyone featured in Hi-Fructose Magazine.
Other: cringe-worthy puns, 80′s hair metal.

You have a creative, yet unpretentious way with words that is refreshing. Look forward to more.
Great to see you have a passion for something , keep up with your blog.I gave you a follow can’t wait to see more!

I find this particular image haunting in such an intriguing way. I want to know more, see more. I love the use of black and white, as well as positive and negative space. The girl in the background is almost like a comic relief; giving the piece a humorous appeal. I look forward to seeing more work by you.
Great blog. I will be coming back more often :-)

Don’t give up on either of your dreams or art and writing. I wish you all the best.
I don’t doodle nearly as much as I should.
Hi Millie, I hope you’re well. I’d like to congratulate you on your skill with verse. I usually find poetry a bit opaque or too personalised to really connect with, but there’s something about you that really works for me. Bravo!
I usually take the zigzag path — a good way to go!
all the best to your blog millie :)

Very stylish blog-although I know nothing about style. Bit of a paradox.
